A traditional agricultural parva (a stack of harvested sheaves). "Stacking: the essential thing in this work is to obtain perfect parvas, since preservation until threshing time depends on it. If the stacks are badly placed or badly built, the rains can cause considerable losses by wasting a high proportion of the ears. The 'parvero' is therefore the key man of the gang, and he is assisted by the 'stacker's helper'. Once this task is finished comes the most important and significant moment of the process: the threshing."*
